Certifications aren't marketing badges. They're third-party verifications that what a brand claims about its products is actually true. Here's what each of ours means — with the underlying documents linked for you to read yourself.
Independent Lab Test Reports
Every thread count tier is independently tested by the Northern India Textile Research Association (NITRA) — a laboratory linked to the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, accredited under ISO 9001 and IS/ISO/IEC 17025. NITRA verifies our thread density (ends per inch and picks per inch) and blend composition for each fabric.
Why this matters
The bedding industry is full of inflated thread count claims. Manufacturers ply multiple thinner yarns and count each strand separately, advertising 1000+ TC sheets that are functionally weaker than an honest 300 TC. We commission third-party tests so you can read the actual numbers — measured by an independent laboratory — and make a real comparison.
What's tested
Each report verifies two key parameters using national standard methods (IS 1963:2025 for thread density and IS 667/IS 3416 for blend composition):
- Thread density: the actual ends per inch (warp) and picks per inch (weft) — the real measure of how densely the fabric is woven.
- Blend composition: confirmation that the fabric is 100% cotton, with no hidden polyester or rayon blends.
- 300 TC: 163 EPI × 123 PPI · 100% Cotton — View NITRA report N2600135
- 400 TC: 199 EPI × 183 PPI · 100% Cotton — View NITRA report N2600135
- 600 TC: 378 EPI × 206 PPI · 100% Cotton — View NITRA report N2600661

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Certified Fabric
Our bed linens are made with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified fabric. OEKO-TEX® is one of the world's most recognized safety certifications for textiles, administered by independent testing institutes across 18 countries.
What it tests for
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification confirms that every component of the fabric — from the cotton fiber and dyes to the threads — has been tested for harmful substances and found safe for human use. The testing covers over 100 parameters including formaldehyde, pesticides, heavy metals, phthalates, and allergenic dyes.
Why it matters for bedding
You spend roughly a third of your life in direct skin contact with your bedding. For children and anyone with sensitive skin or allergies, knowing that the fabric has been independently tested for harmful chemicals isn't a luxury — it's a necessity. OEKO-TEX® certification gives you that assurance from a source that isn't the manufacturer itself.
How it's verified
Certification is not self-declared. Fabric samples are submitted to accredited OEKO-TEX® test institutes who conduct laboratory analysis. If the fabric passes, a certificate is issued with a unique reference number that can be independently verified. Certification is renewed annually, requiring fresh testing — it's not a one-time badge.
Our fabric supplier holds OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certificate number 25.HIN.12120, valid until 31.10.2026. You can view the certificate or verify it directly at oeko-tex.com.
TEXPROCIL Export Registration
Dove & Thread is a registered member of TEXPROCIL — The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, sponsored by the Government of India. Established to promote India's cotton textile exports, TEXPROCIL is the apex body recognized by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
What the RCMC means
Our Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) is the document that authorizes us to export cotton madeups internationally. It's issued under the Foreign Trade Policy and acknowledged by Indian customs, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), and overseas trade partners. Without an active RCMC, an Indian manufacturer cannot legitimately export to the United States, Australia, or any other foreign market.
Why it matters to you
It's a verifiable signal that we're a real, registered exporter — not a drop-shipping middleman. Every shipment we send to Amazon's US, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand warehouses is processed under this registration. Our registration number, XM/35707(2026)-D, is on file with TEXPROCIL and valid until 31-03-2031.

Wyoming Corporate Registration
Dove and Thread Inc is a Profit Corporation in good standing with the State of Wyoming, USA, formed on April 27, 2026.
What "good standing" means
"Good standing" is a formal status issued by the Wyoming Secretary of State confirming that the company is properly registered, has filed all required annual reports, has paid all license taxes, and has not filed Articles of Dissolution. It's the official document banks, payment processors, and major retailers (including Amazon) ask for when verifying that a business is real and operating legitimately.
Why it matters to you
Behind the brand is a registered US corporation accountable under Wyoming law — not an anonymous online shopfront. If you ever need to confirm we're a real business before placing a large order or trade enquiry, this is the document that proves it. Our entity ID is 2026-001961279.

We're actively pursuing additional certifications to further validate our commitment to quality, sustainability, and ethical manufacturing — including OEKO-TEX® certification in Dove & Thread's own name. We'll update this page as each new certification is awarded.
Our internal quality process
External certifications verify the end product, but quality starts long before testing. Here's what our internal process looks like:
- Fiber sourcing: We use only long-staple cotton from trusted, established suppliers. Every incoming bale is checked for fiber length, strength, and cleanliness.
- Yarn quality: Our ring-spun yarns are tested for evenness, twist, and tensile strength before weaving begins.
- Weave inspection: Fabric coming off the loom is inspected for density (ends per inch, picks per inch), weight, and defects.
- Finishing verification: After singeing and calendering, fabric is tested for shrinkage, colorfastness, and hand-feel.
- Final inspection: Every finished product — every sheet, every towel, every protector — is individually inspected before packing. Products that don't pass don't ship.
This multi-stage approach is the same quality discipline we've followed for 20 years manufacturing for luxury hotels, where every shipment is scrutinized and every defect is a lost contract. That standard doesn't change for home products.
We're transparent about how and where our products are made. Message us on WhatsApp and we're happy to share details about our manufacturing process, certifications, or testing.
